Rechart privacy policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026 (version 2.0)Rechart does not collect, store on any server, sell or share any personal data. Everything the extension does happens inside your own browser.
What the extension does
Rechart adds bar replay and paper trading to TradingView-powered charts on the website you are viewing. It runs only when you click its toolbar icon or press its keyboard shortcut, and only in that tab.
Data the extension uses
- Chart data on the page. The extension reads the candles the chart has already loaded, and asks the chart's own data source for older candles when you replay further back, so it can hide future candles and replay history. This data stays in the tab and is never sent to the developer or anyone else.
- Your panel settings. Order type, play speed, theme and trade colours are saved in that website's local storage in your browser, on your own device.
- Your saved sessions. So you can continue a replay later, each session (the chart symbol and timeframe, the replay position, simulated trades and positions, the simulated balance and any prop challenge progress) is saved in the extension's own storage on your device (chrome.storage.local). Nothing is uploaded; you can export trades yourself as a CSV file.
What the extension does not do
- No accounts, sign-ins or personal information.
- No screenshots of your tabs.
- No analytics, tracking, cookies or advertising.
- No data sent to the developer or to any third party.
- No access to other tabs, browsing history or real trading accounts.
- No remote code: only the files packaged with the extension run.
Removing your data
Delete a saved session from the session list in the panel (the × next to it). Removing the extension deletes all saved sessions. Saved panel settings can be removed by clearing that website's site data in your browser.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. For questions, use the contact details on the extension's Chrome Web Store page.
